About the WML
In the Writing & Media Lab (WML), our trained student Consultants provide one-on-one or small group assistance with student writing and multimedia projects. We can help with written essays, research papers, presentations, video projects, and podcasts, just to name a few! We can support you at whatever stage of the project you’re in, from brainstorming to final edits, and help you progress to the next level.
Collaboration and conversation are a vital part of scholarly work at the college level, and everyone can benefit from talking through their ideas!
Masking Guidelines for Consultations
Effective March 5, 2022, masks are no longer required in the Writing & Media Lab. However, please bring a mask with you in case you need to work closely with a student Consultant or another student. We ask everyone to please practice mirrored masking during consultations because of the physical closeness required. This means that if the student Consultant you will be working with is wearing a mask, then we ask you to please wear a mask during your consultation.
Please be respectful of anyone’s choices regarding masking, and remember that our primary goal for any consultation is for students to be able to focus on learning. These guidelines are intended to reflect that goal. If you require or may qualify for reasonable accommodations based on a disability then please reach out to the Student Office for Accessibility Resources to inquire about the ADA process.
