Dins Day 2024 was a resounding success, from sunny skies over campus to the record number of gifts made by alumni, students, faculty, parents, staff and friends from around the world.

“Dins Day was an amazing success with more than 3,600 gifts totaling more than $1.2 million. That success is a tribute to the generosity of our community and the very important and real idea that every gift matters,” said Heidi McCrory, vice president for Development. “Our donors are changing the world for the better through Furman, and our students and alumni. What a thrill for us all to be part of this inspiring and impactful mission!”

This year,

  • 10 funds received more than 100 donations,
  • More than 200 funds were supported, and
  • The Class of 2027 had the most donors.

“The excitement as we celebrated our 10th anniversary of Dins Day was palpable and the Furman family truly exemplified the Paladin spirit,” said John Pezdek, director of Annual Giving. “Dins Day donors came together for Furman students and their generosity will elevate all that we do, fuel our students’ ambitions and drive Furman’s competitive excellence. Paladins near and far can be proud of all that was accomplished and the impact that Dins Day has on today’s students. We are grateful!”

Dins Day takes place every spring in conjunction with the Last Day of Class. Students enjoy games and activities, food and music on the Joseph Vaughn Plaza and Milford Mall, and many seniors splash around and float in the large fountain. This year there were 17 Dins Day FAN Club events across the country.
