Welcome Furman Alumni, Parents and Friends of Furman

Through The Furman Advantage, Furman students are academically challenged and leave Furman as lifelong learners who are changing the communities around them. Whether alumni of Furman, the parent of a Furman alumni or a friend of Furman, we consider everyone who supports this institution a member of the Furman family.

Being a Furman student is four years of your life, but being part of the Furman family is forever. Go, Dins!

Furman alumni and the Furman family are welcomed to campus throughout the year for signature events including Homecoming, Furman Engaged, Parents Weekend and the Bell Tower Ball. They are engaging with Furman across the country through FAN Clubs and as members of Loyal DINS. These opportunities allow for our alumni to network and build strong Paladin relationships across the globe.

Additionally, our alumni have a tradition of giving back to Furman – through both their time and financially. Alumni play a part in the success of current students through hosting interns, mentoring, speaking in Furman classrooms and supporting their favorite fund across campus, ensuring the financial strength of the programs and services that make Furman students strong members of the global community.

Alumni looking to go above and beyond can also serve Furman by serving on the Alumni Board of Directors, Young Alumni Council, Black Alumni Council, reunion committees, Student Alumni Council and as a Furman Alumni Ambassador.

Meet An Alumnus
"In the end, the only right path is the one that feels truest to you. Choose that path because, when you’re doing what you love, the money and the satisfaction will be a forgone conclusion."
Charlie Howell '06,
Meet An Alumnus
"For anyone who may be struggling to overcome a hurdle or bump in the road, continue to believe in yourself and know that the hurdle only wins if you stop trying to jump it. Don’t let failures define you. Make your failures a testimony."
Daniel McFadden '12,
Meet An Alumnus
"My entrepreneurial spirit was the perfect match for a career in real estate. In my first full year, I sold 24 homes and was named “Keller Williams Rookie of the Year” in my office. The stars finally aligned, and it became obvious that real estate was my calling."
