Study Away
The Rinker Center for Study Away and International Education provides opportunities to engage with difference, contemplate new perspectives, value intercultural dialogue, and hone skills for success in our increasingly interconnected world.
Furman’s Study Away programs represent engaged learning at its finest. Students can take their learning beyond the Furman campus where they will cultivate intellectual curiosity, develop new skills, gain self-confidence, and prepare themselves to compete in the complex, ever-changing, interdependent world.
Students earn 2 credits while participating in a 3-week MayX study away course, or earn 12-16 credits for a semester faculty-led, affiliate partner, or exchange program. The majority of study away programs are interdisciplinary in nature and open to students of all majors.
