The Vinings at Duncan Chapel is an off-campus apartment complex that provides overflow housing options for Furman’s rising fourth-year students.
Each spring, we determine the number of seniors who will live in overflow housing to accommodate the rest of our undergraduate student population. The number of apartments designated for senior overflow housing varies each year, depending on the numbers of students enrolled in the university.
Located south of campus on Duncan Chapel Road, the Vinings at Duncan Chapel has 196 units that house residents from Furman as well as the general community. We can not guarantee a room assignment in this complex since the facility is only used when there are not enough housing options on our campus.
Built in 2002, the apartment complex offers units with one, two, or three bedrooms and includes a clubhouse, swimming pool, parking garages and storage units. The external structure, wrought-iron front gate and water fountain complement the school’s architecture.
The Vinings at Duncan Chapel features apartments with one to three bedrooms, and one to two bathrooms. The complex is not fully furnished, meaning students interested in living here should bring their own furniture or rent furniture from this facility. Utilities, such as internet and electricity, are not included in your housing rate.
