Gambrell Hall is located near our spring-fed lake and typically houses sophomores. The residence hall has bath facilities located on each hall, with private showers and dressing areas. It is a co-ed residence hall by floor, meaning different gender residents live on different floors with separate bath facilities.

Built in 1968, Gambrell Hall was remodeled in 2007. The residence hall is named after Mary Latimer Gambrell, who graduated from Greenville Woman’s College in 1917. The hall is among seven residence halls that make up the Clark Murphy Housing Complex, which features some of the best views of Furman Lake.
