The Language Houses are a language program, facility, and course option all in one.  The Language House program is managed by the Modern Languages and Literatures and Asian Studies departments.  While inside the house, you will be challenged to speak only in your foreign language. You can share gatherings while absorbing knowledge of holidays, pastimes, celebrations, foods, and customs under the mentorship of your round-the-clock house assistant.

The Language Houses are located in Judson Hall in the Clark Murphy Complex and North Village A. Sophomores in Language House live in Judson Hall and Juniors/Seniors in North Village. All Language House participants have access to the Language House Lounge in North Village A302.

The following Language Houses will be accepting applications for 2024-2025: Chinese House, Japanese House, German House, Spanish House, and French House. The Language House application for 2024-2025 is open, and it will close on February 4, 2024.
