Housing & Residence Life

No matter where you’re from, you’ll feel at home at Furman.

Built on the concept that your living experience is a critical part of your education, our residential campus is a place where your ideas and passions can be fully explored. We require our students to live on campus for four years, cultivating a strong and inclusive community that encourages collaboration and self-discovery. Every housing option provides a myriad of opportunities to develop lifelong bonds with your classmates and participate in student activities.

Our residential experience is one of the hallmarks of a Furman education. Providing housing for all students for all four years is one of the many advantages that sets us apart. Sure, academics take precedence, but not at the expense of building personal relationships. It’s why first-year students are intentionally paired with someone who has similar living styles. So you can coordinate your brilliance, of course.
