Our Residences

Most first-year students live in a South Housing residence hall.

“SoHo” is centrally located on campus, making it easy to get to know the members of your class and form friendships.

Many of our upper-class students – and a few first-year students – live in the Clark Murphy Housing Complex.

This lakeside housing area is named in honor of Clark Murphy, a Black man who worked for decades as a groundskeeper at the Greenville Woman’s College, which later merged with Furman University.

These 11 apartment buildings are reserved exclusively for our upperclassmen residents.

These fully furnished two- and four-bedroom apartments include a patio or balcony, and access to a wealth of green space with picnic tables, grills and a recreation area.

Furman is known for having the best living and learning community.

Our national award-winning communities are one of the best ways to enhance your college experience.
