The Riley Institute’s Community Solutions Research Group promotes evidence-informed practices and policies and supports entities that serve children and families across South Carolina. We apply a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens throughout the entire research process, which impacts the projects we seek, the questions we ask, the methods we employ, and how we share results. Our commitment to equitable outcomes for all South Carolinians underlies all of our work. In this spirit, we offer the following services to our clients:
We believe all children deserve to have caring, safe, and enriching environments in which to learn and grow. Our research identifies effective programs and practices for improving child well-being and family stability.
South Carolina leads the country in the number of Montessori education programs in the public sector. Our research sheds light on an increasingly popular teaching method.
Through a suite of services, we empower organizations and professionals to reflect on, assess, demonstrate, and effectively communicate the design and impact of their programs.
The Institute is leading several projects that study the impact project-based learning has on student outcomes.
