Virtual tribute board for graduates unveiled

Virtual tribute board for graduates unveiled

TO: Class of 2020
FROM: Allison McCann Foy ’05, Executive Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement

We know that your spring semester has been full of unexpected hardships and challenges, but we continue to be amazed at the resilience and accomplishments of members of the Class of 2020. As you close this Furman chapter as a student, we want to warmly welcome you into the Furman Alumni family. We are so proud of you!

We are excited to present a virtual tribute board where fellow students, staff, faculty and parents have posted well wishes to you, the Class of 2020, using #Furman2020. We know that this will never replace congratulations expressed in person or hugs goodbye, but we hope it will be meaningful to hear from your Furman community. We also want to thank you for all you have done at Furman and wish you the best of luck in the future. Please know that you will always be part of the Furman Family, and the alumni office is here to help you in any way.

Please feel free to add and share memories and photos of your fellow members in the senior class, offer words of encouragement and advice, and tell us about the experiences and people that make Furman so unique. Use  #Furman2020 in your posts (Instagram or Twitter) and tag the appropriate Furman Alumni social handle.

Also, meet a few of our graduating seniors and read about their exciting plans for the future in this year’s Senior Spotlight, just one of the many ways Furman is celebrating our students’ achievements.

Congratulations Class of 2020 and welcome to the Furman Alumni Association.
