Furman values its relationship with the Greenville community. We are saddened that our Greenville neighbors are currently unable to access the lake and other outdoor facilities. As soon as the health metrics in Greenville improve, we will be eager to reopen campus for limited access. Until then, Furman will remain closed to community guests.
The Golf Course is open and available to the public. The pavilion at the golf course is closed due to PGA guidance on re-opening.
Please check back periodically for updates on outdoor access to the campus.
Parents and families of students who are currently permitted to be on campus are welcome to visit Furman. We encourage parent and family member visits to occur in outdoor spaces. Family members are not permitted in the residence halls and apartments (except for move in and move out), academic buildings, or other campus facilities, but may access the Barnes & Noble Bookstore and Starbucks. We ask that while on campus, parents and families follow campus health and safety protocols, including wearing face coverings and physical distancing.
Alumni, friends of Furman, and other guests may be invited to campus, and appropriate health and safety protocols will be shared by the organizing department or office. The Furman host is responsible for ensuring these health and safety protocols are followed.
Invited guests may access the Barnes & Noble Bookstore and Starbucks. All other facilities are off limits to visitors and may only be accessed with express permission of the Furman host.
Sports Medicine patients may continue to access the Alley Gym and the PAC therapy pool as prescribed and scheduled by Sports Medicine staff.
We especially invite our OLLI students and Woodlands residents to continue participating in Furman-sponsored events in a virtual capacity.
If you are a prospective student and wish to learn more about admissions and campus tours, please refer to our Visit Furman page or contact the Office of Admissions at email@example.com or your admission counselor.
Vendors and contractors must be approved to enter campus buildings. All companies will be required to review and sign safety requirements before their employees and associated subcontractors are allowed to work at Furman. Submit the completed safety requirements form to Jeff Redderson, AVP for Facility and Campus Services, for review and approval.
The university will closely monitor the evolving circumstances related to COVID-19, along with rapidly developing scientific knowledge and medical resources, to determine the appropriateness for adjustments and contingencies. For general questions about the spring semester, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
