We welcome the Greenville community and general public to visit Furman Lake and other outdoor facilities.
The only indoor location currently accessible to the general public is the Barnes & Noble Bookstore, including Starbucks, and Traditions Grille at the Golf Course.
Visitors are welcome outdoors to take wedding and prom photos. Small family/group picnics also are permitted.
Guests in Campus Housing
Per the Housing & Residence Life Guest Policy, resident students are expected to agree on who is allowed in their shared housing space.
Parents and Families
Parents and families of students are welcome to visit Furman. We encourage parent and family member visits to occur in outdoor spaces. Family members are not permitted in the residence halls and apartments (except for move in and move out), academic buildings, or other campus facilities, but may access the Barnes & Noble Bookstore and Starbucks. We ask that parents and families follow campus health and safety protocols.
University Invited Guests
Alumni, friends of Furman, and other guests may be invited to campus; unvaccinated guests must mask in all indoor buildings. The Furman host is responsible for ensuring these protocols are followed.
Sports Medicine patients may access the Alley Gym and the PAC therapy pool as prescribed and scheduled by Sports Medicine staff.
Prospective Students and Families
If you are a prospective student and wish to learn more about admissions and campus tours, please refer to our Visit Furman page or contact the Office of Admissions at firstname.lastname@example.org or your admissions counselor. Admissions tour participants are required to mask indoors, regardless of vaccination status.
Vendors and Contractors
Vendors and contractors must be approved to enter campus buildings. All companies will be required to review and sign safety requirements before their employees and associated subcontractors are allowed to work at Furman. Submit the completed safety requirements form to Jeff Redderson, AVP for Facility and Campus Services, for review and approval. Unvaccinated vendors and contractors are required to mask when indoors in any building.
The university will closely monitor the evolving circumstances related to COVID-19, along with rapidly developing scientific knowledge and medical resources, to determine the appropriateness for adjustments and contingencies. For general questions, please email email@example.com.
