At Furman, we give Health Sciences students hands-on opportunities to learn about health challenges around the world and discover strategies for addressing them. Some programs are led by Furman professors, while other programs are run by international educational organizations.

May Experience

This special three-week session comes right after May commencement. The courses offer two credits and may count as electives in a major. Many feature travel to sites in the U.S. and overseas. Recent experiences include Portugal, Cambodia, and Naples, Florida with Arthrex. Find out more about May Experience.

Study Away

All of Furman’s travel programs, including May Experience, are coordinated through our Study Away and International Education program. We can help students enroll in study programs in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Central and South America. Visit our Study Away site.
