May Experience
The May Experience is an optional three-week term following the spring semester that allows students to explore topics across many different departments in courses that are not offered in other terms during the academic year.
Offerings include study-away programs that take students to destinations around the world and a wide variety of on-campus courses based at Furman. May Experience courses earn two credits, and the tuition cost for all May Experience courses is included in the comprehensive fee for the Spring semester. Applications for study-away programs are made through Furman’s Rinker Center for Study Away and International Education, with an application deadline the preceding November. Enrollment for on-campus courses takes place on an ongoing basis from mid-January to mid-April.
