Haynsworth Hall is a suite-style hall located near our spring-fed lake, and primarily houses sophomores. Two rooms will share a connecting bathroom with students of the same gender.

Built in 1961, Haynsworth Hall was remodeled in 2011. The residence hall is named after Harry John Haynsworth, a former board member who was part of Furman’s decision to merge with Greenville Woman’s College in 1933.

The hall is among seven residence halls that make up the Clark Murphy Housing Complex, which features some of the best views of Furman Lake.
