What if a single organization in Greenville County was committed to improving each of the following?

  • Family stability.
  • Educational outcomes.
  • Physical, mental, and emotional health.
  • Financial security and generational wealth.
  • Professional advancement.

Since 1985, Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County has helped over 400 Upstate families become homeowners, thereby removing the burdens and stresses that come with a lack of stable, affordable, housing. When families no longer have to spend time and energy solving their own housing crises, they are free to prioritize their families’ financial well-being, their children’s education, and their overall health.

In today’s fast moving, digital age, more and more people are using electronic resources to connect with Habitat for Humanity. Therefore, the ease and transparency of Habitat’s digital presence is critical to its continued success. Through an evaluation of Habitat’s website toolkit, Team H.O.M.E. provided insights into the accessibility and transfer of information for three sets of stakeholders: families looking to learn more about participating through home ownership or repair, individuals interested in partnering as donors and volunteers, and organizations seeking an opportunity to donate to the communities in which they do business.

Feedback from this evaluation was provided to Habitat’s Director of Marketing and Communication and offered actionable suggestions for website design and information consolidation. Team H.O.M.E. performed these audits through the lens of user-friendliness and ease of access to the most pertinent information.

Using their own tracking data, Habitat for Humanity will be able to measure the impact of this work based on digital engagement, completed applications, volunteer inquiries, and donations.
