A partnership of the Cooper River Center for Advanced Studies in Career and Technology Education (CTE), the Charleston Chamber of Commerce, and the Noble Nine, the Career Day Prep Program will provide job readiness and life skills training for CTE’s juniors and seniors. Located in North Charleston, the CTE school’s mission is to develop trained professionals in seven main career clusters: Architecture and Construction; Arts, AV Technology, and Communications; Health Science; Information Technology; Manufacturing; Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics; Transportation, and Distribution, and Logistics. Many of these students enter the work force directly after graduating from high school.

The Career Day Prep Program will be a half-day program held in Spring 2023 providing targeted, practical training for these students to be “career ready” upon graduation. The curriculum will be developed by The Noble Nine and will focus on resume-writing, mock interviews, developing a “personal brand,” and social media. The Charleston Chamber of Commerce has agreed to provide volunteers to teach the sessions and will house this project in 2024 and beyond.

Through this program, the Noble Nine aims to provide students with the skills they need to enter the workforce confidently and launch a successful career.
