Our graduate degrees in Education provide educators with the expertise to lead our schools, strengthen our communities, and prepare students for tomorrow’s challenges. Developed for teachers seeking licensure in early childhood, this master’s program focuses on the behavior of young children and curriculum and teaching methods appropriate for various ages from infants through early primary years. Read our degree requirements.
For teachers, this concentration focuses on a specific area of special education through courses dealing with the nature of a specific disability and the related practica. Teachers who are pursuing this degree learn even more specialized intervention techniques and strategies to deal appropriately with children with special needs. Primarily for teachers interested in working with culturally diverse students, this program offers research-based strategies that help teachers make necessary modifications in instruction while promoting an inclusive environment. Read our degree requirements.
Our literacy concentration is for teachers who wish to instill in their students a deep affinity towards literature and reading. You’ll learn how to teach current theory and trends in literacy research, as well as best instructional practices. Read our degree requirements.
Our School Leadership program is for experienced teachers ready to expand their leadership opportunities outside of the traditional classroom. We provide extensive preparation for school administration and a sequence of courses and activities planned to guide the candidates in developing the knowledge and skills required of principals and supervisors. How to register for an online class:
- Apply to Graduate Studies
- Choose “Graduate Studies in Education” and “Add-on teaching licensure” as your program selection.
- Submit a copy of your teaching license and copies of all of your transcripts. These do not have to be official copies – photocopies or internet copies will be fine.
- Pay a one-time application fee of $55.
Once your application is complete, we will send you a registration form for the upcoming course.
