What We Offer

In today’s global business society, the ability to perform in complex economic and political environments is essential. We are driven to do more, have more and become more.

The Women’s Leadership Institute of Furman is designed to provide an engaging educational forum for executives and senior managers from diverse backgrounds and disciplines in corporations, law, governmental agencies, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations. Our goal is to work together to enhance vital leadership skills and form a collaborative, lasting network of relationships. An understanding of the complex dynamics involved in achieving true success as a leader requires insight into one’s personal leadership style and keen business acumen. The seminars offered during each session include a comprehensive view of concepts and strategies that have immediate and practical applications in real-world work environments.

We explore many interactive topics such as negotiation and conflict resolution, communication skills, the psychology behind success, network diversity, leadership strength, mastering “leaning in,” best practices for shared success, public speaking, life balance and time management, assessing leadership styles, financial wealth, and global awareness.

Today’s research supports that as women ascend into leadership roles, key factors in workplace satisfaction and longevity include: the increased desire to engage in education, enhancing professional influence, honing critical thinking and decision-making abilities and applying high levels of emotional intelligence.

The Women’s Leadership Institute of Furman extends the invitation to participate in an immersive experience with a nationally recognized liberal arts university, esteemed faculty, and accomplished business leaders. The conference takes place from January through April and is held on the Furman University campus.
