Study Away Options

If your student is planning to study away for a full semester, your student has several options to consider when it comes to obtaining a room assignment for the semester they're going to be at Furman.

Changing Room Assignments

If your student is interested in seeking a new room assignment or roommate, your student may submit a request to our office.

Waiting List

Each year, we have approximately 60-80 students on a waiting list for student housing. Our office will assign rooms to these students in August after we are able to determine which students are not returning to the university. By waiting until August, we can be more successful in keeping waiting list students in roommate pairs and assigning them to preferred buildings.
