Student speaking to doctor during their internship

Connecting with Students and Recent Graduates

There’s more than one way to give back to Furman. From discussing job prospects to providing internship opportunities, you can support the next generation of Furman graduates by mentoring them. Offer career advice. Review their resumes. Or simply meet over coffee to share your career experience. No matter what you choose to do, your insight can prepare our graduates for their next stage in life.

Alumni Connections Program

The Furman Advantage guarantees every student an unparalleled education that combines classroom learning with real-world experiences, self-discovery, and mentoring.  One component of The Furman Advantage is the promise that students will be supported by a team of mentors and advisors.  Mentoring is woven into the fabric of Furman’s culture and exists within each student’s relationship with faculty, staff, peers, and the Furman community (alumni, parents, and friends of the university). The Furman Alumni Association, the Malone Center for Career Engagement, and Academic Affairs are looking for alumni who would like to connect with and assist a recent graduate as they transition to life outside of college. These graduates are looking for guidance in areas such as relocating to a new city, career trends, building a personal brand, job or internship search, work-life balance, etc. Interested?
