At Furman, you don’t always need a sketch pad to develop your best ideas. Our design lab, located next to The Playhouse, provides students with the latest software and operating systems to create detailed sets, lighting designs, and costumes. The lab is available for students to work on projects outside of class.
Inside this lab, you’ll find drafting tables and computers to conceptualize your projects along with more than a dozen workstations where you can begin generating your ideas. But our lab isn’t limited to costume and set design. If you want a taste of the marketing world, you have the ability to design posters and fliers for any of our upcoming performances.
