Whether you’re going through a difficult time or you just have questions about life and faith, the chaplains are here to listen. We can act as a sounding board and offer resources to any student, faculty, or staff member. When you come to us, be assured that we’ll offer you a space that’s both non-judgmental and confidential. Learn more about meeting with a chaplain, or call 864.294.2133 to set up a visit with a chaplain.

Self-Help Education Materials
The Furman community realizes that everyone will experience a loss at some point in college. Regardless of your reasons, we hope these resources will educate on grief and loss and direct you to resources on campus. Read more about Furman’s grief and loss resources.
Send a Sympathy Card
Providing handwritten cards to those who have lost a loved one can show great support. The Chaplain’s Office provides blank sympathy cards with counseling resources listed on the back. Completing the order form for the cards will guarantee delivery to your Furman mailbox within 24 hours, for you to then pass on to the student in need. Send a sympathy card.
