Whether you are going through a difficult time or you just have questions about life and faith, the chaplains provide a non-judgmental and confidential space. Chaplains offer resources to any student, faculty, or staff member. Learn more about meeting with a chaplain, or call 864.294.2133 to set up a visit with a chaplain.
Grief in Common
Grief in Common is a secular grief support group for students struggling with loss. For Spring semester 2026, the group will meet at 3:00 pm on Thursdays in Chapel’s Lounge (on the lower level). The group is facilitated by a counselor from the Trone Center for Mental Fitness, and Alexis Carter Thomas, Associate Chaplain. For more information, please contact Alexis.

Students who have lost loved ones and need academic support (i.e. may miss class because of a funeral) are encouraged to contact the Academic Dean’s office at 864.294.2064.
