Furman Near and Far
The Furman community experience begins as soon as you step on campus. Whether it’s a visit and tour for prospective students or a trip to the dining hall during an in-person staff or faculty interview, anyone who comes to Furman recognizes there is something special about being a part of the Paladin family.
This is a deliberate and necessary part of our mission. No matter where you come from or where you go, we strive to ensure that Furman feels like a welcoming home.
That begins with a focus on belonging and wellbeing through clubs, organizations, centers and resources that are built on a foundation of trust,

Acceptance
The Center for Interpersonal Connections resides in Furman’s new Lakeview Hall first-year residence hall and exists to help students see others and be seen themselves.
We are also dedicated to helping everyone on campus feel welcome so they can’t wait to return. It’s why we have invested so much in the last year building and renovating homes for students and event space for all through our South Housing and North Village projects.
From the Ground Up
When it comes to living our best life on campus, we don’t have to look much further than the investments we make it our fantastic Athletics programs. In the past five years, our 18 Division I teams have made amazing strides forward while staying true to the sportsmanship and dedication that define our Athletics department. From men’s basketball toppling Goliaths during March Madness to women’s golf producing some of the best in the game, we can celebrate our success.
