The Furman University Department of Music will present its Music by the Lake Concert Series, the “Sounds of Summer.” Join the Lakeside Concert Band and guest artists to hear at least an hour of music every Thursday now through July 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the amphitheater on campus. Selected concerts will take place in McAlister Auditorium. All concerts are free and open to the public.
Bring your lawn chairs, a picnic dinner and a blanket, and get ready to enjoy a cross-section of big band, jazz, international, contemporary and traditional band and orchestra favorites directed by Furman’s Sue Samuels. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will be moved indoors.
