Paladin Career Treks are opportunities for Furman students to engage in career exploration and professional development by visiting top companies across the nation. Paladin Career Treks typically include visits to 2-4 organizations in a specific industry, plus a networking event with alumni in that area. Visits to organizations may include alumni panels, facility tours, presentations by human resources professionals, and networking opportunities that allow students to learn about career paths and to connect with professionals. Transportation, hotel accommodations, and meals will be provided on career treks.
How to Apply
Submit Application by the Trek’s deadline. Applications are submitted through Handshake. Application requirements are as follows:
- Completed short answer questions
- Submitted current GPA
- Complete Handshake profile which also includes a current resume (required for all Treks)
A selection committee will review all applications and select the trek participants. Priority will be given to Juniors and Seniors. All applicants will be notified via email of their acceptance status.
If selected, students must:
- Complete and submit a commitment-to-participate form
- Attend a mandatory pre-trek and post-trek meeting
