The Furman Department of Art along with the Master of Arts in Strategic Design (MAS-D), will kick off the annual 24-hour student design competition with a networking social on Friday, Jan. 21, from 5 to 6 p.m. The social is open to the public.  Following the networking event keynote speaker, who will be announced in January will lead a lively discussion on design and the cultural impact it has on today’s world.

Teams of 4-5 Furman undergraduates are paired with one MAS-D student.  These teams have 24 hours to come up with a solution to the creative brief delivered after the keynote speaker.  Teams must present their work to a panel of judges who are design professionals from the southeast.  Judges will provide critical feedback for the students.
