Interested in a career in Art criticism? Graphic Design? Museum studies? Painting? Sculpture? At Furman University, you can tailor your degree to prepare you for any job in the Arts. Our studio art majors can choose from electives that include book arts and printmaking, while our art history program helps students to become strong writers and thinkers. Selected students are assigned private loft spaces, providing an individual workspace to allow the creative juices to flow. Furthermore, a low faculty-to-student ratio provides increased attention and collaboration often unavailable at larger schools.

From talented faculty to top-notch facilities and studios, a foundation in the liberal arts provides exciting opportunities to hone your skills through research, internships, and study away opportunities locally, nationally and internationally. Furman’s art program is sure to prepare you for any artistic endeavor you choose.
