2021 Recipient: Ingrid Ramos Rivera

Ingrid’s quiet humility belies the power of her intellect and her commitment to using her skills and education to improve her community. As a double major in Politics and Modern Languages, Ingrid is dedicated to improving access to justice for Spanish-speakers in the Upstate and beyond. Whether she is working with Colombian immigrants in the textile industry, helping crime victims apply for immigration relief, or studying the ways that COVID has impacted the lives of Central American migrants, her community service has a strong theme: amplifying the voices of the Latinx community.
