The Advance Team for The Riley Institute at Furman University hosted a discussion about public education policy featuring three thought leaders from the field including OnTrack Greenville Executive Director Edward Anderson, former South Carolina Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman, and author and Professor Josh Cowen from Michigan State University. FOX Carolina News covered the event.

“It’s great to know that there
are students who are interested in public policy and particular education policy,” Spearman said. “So that’s why I wanted to make sure to be here tonight to encourage them to learn as much as they can about what’s going on and also to encourage them as they leave Furman to become very involved as a voter, as a person who knows what the issues are, and to get their thoughts to the general assembly wherever they may be living or their local school board.”
