DLI participants from Midlands Class V, Team Youth Success, designed and enlisted community members in implementing a program for upperclassmen at the RN Beck Learning Center, an alternative school that was established to provide a second chance for students who are expelled from their regular middle or high schools in Florence County District One.

The goal for Team Youth Success is to try and make a difference among this group of students, which would in turn benefit the community.  During their program, Team Youth Success hosted 25-30 students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades.  Over a two day session group members led more than four hours of presentations with a mix of feasible life choices and attainable skills to enhance the possibilities for students to gain employment and to learn more about educational career paths.
