The Cavaliers Care Program is a program designed to provide support resources for students that help them focus on career goals, making better decisions, overcoming adversity and obstacles, improve soft skills, and improve their overall academic achievement. Students that have made poor choices are referred to the program instead of being suspended out of school for long periods. The program keeps students at school where we can provide counseling and support designed to help them to be successful. The objective is to help students focus on their future and overcome barriers in their lives that interfere with their personal pathway to success. The high school program includes 3 on-site counselors, partnerships with local community organizations, and law enforcement that work together to provide counseling and support resources in areas including substance abuse, anger management, conflict resolution, self-confidence, depression, etc. This team is in the process of developing the middle school programs with the same mission that will require additional funding and community partnerships.
