Seeds of Wellness is a collaboration between Sanders-Clyde Elementary School, Green Heart Project, and MUSC Boeing Center for Children’s Wellness that engages children and their families, teachers, and school nurses in experiential garden-based learning. Seeds of Wellness bolstered the gardening efforts initiated by Green Heart at Sanders-Clyde through a kickoff event that included gardening, harvesting, cooking, eating, and learning. Additionally, the collaborative is supporting the school’s garden club through a speaker series, supplies, and volunteer time.
Project mission: Children and their families learn to cultivate plants and to select and prepare healthy foods.
