Going Places with Tanglewood Middle

Going Places with Tanglewood Middle partnered with the student council of Tanglewood Middle School to teach students about running a community outreach project. Going forward, the student council will take on the responsibility of defining an opportunity and engaging their surrounding community each year. The inaugural project will kick off an aluminum can recycling center in the school’s cafeteria, in which council members will learn how to lead, promote, and sustain the recycling center. Students and staff are enthusiastic about the lasting impact of this project and its standing example of the importance of community outreach for future student council members.
