GEMAS

The GEMAS Learning Circle focused on creating a communication tool that could be used to address and raise awareness of the homelessness issue in Greenville County, South Carolina. Team members identified the need for educating the community on the facts surrounding homelessness and the lack of affordable housing. With an ultimate goal set to provide adequate and affordable housing for all Greenville residents, the GEMAS team set out to design a communication tool that highlighted both the success and failures of several housing projects throughout the county. By educating the community and dispelling misconceptions about homelessness, the GEMAS team hopes to change perceptions and create a new understanding of homelessness in South Carolina.
