MODELS Academy visited Anderson University on January 28, 2025, for a full day experience. The pilot visit is intended to be a springboard for future visits at Anderson University and other four-year institutions in South Carolina. Anderson University welcomed 15 MODELS Men from Emerald High School High School and Greenwood High School.

The day was filled with a tour of the campus, meeting other Anderson University faculty, staff, and students in the cafeteria, across campus, inside classrooms and labs, housing, and athletic facilities. The experience included visiting a genetics lab, digital media lab, education classrooms, performing arts facilities, lunch in the cafeteria, and athletic facilities where the students were able to meet coaches, and a few were able to lift weights in the football facilities.

As they walked across campus, MODELS students met other Anderson University students and even exchanged phone numbers as a few prepared to apply and had already applied to Anderson University. There were many pictures taken including a few selfies that included faculty, staff, administration, and even a few football staff members.
