Jeanine Stratton studies human behavior in the workplace and the marketplace. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Her courses are focused on behavioral approaches to organizational performance improvement, consumer behavior, and marketing practices.

Jeanine has earned awards for teaching, mentorship, and research. Her scientific interests, broadly defined, include the application of behavioral principles to socially significant topics using a Scientist-Practitioner approach, including areas of consumer behavior, incentives, strategy, systems thinking, and corporate social responsibility. Her interdisciplinary work appears in academic journals such as the The Psychological Record, Sustainability: Journal of Record, and International Journal of Sustainability in Higher Education. She has presented scholarly work at various behavioral, marketing, sustainability, and education-focused conferences. She has been a Research Fellow with the David E. Shi Center for Sustainability, funded by the Mellon Foundation, for her work on Greenwashing. She is the first female recipient of the Furman Standard Research Fellowship for her work in consumer food choice and food product labeling practices. She is a recipient of the South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities research grant for sponsoring research with undergraduate scholars.

In addition to her academic career, she has management and marketing consulting experience in retail, restaurant and food service, health care, banking, and safety industries. She has also been an adjunct professor in Psychology at Wofford College. Her latest endeavors are with nonprofit organizations, including United Way and LiveWell Greenville, and working with women entrepreneurs. She regularly works with Furman students in the local Greenville business community.​
