David joined Furman University in 2015.  Prior to Furman, David's most recent positions were the Associate Dean for Institutional Research and Assessment at Eckerd College and Dean of Academic Support Services and Professor of Mathematics at Johnson C. Smith University.

He has been involved in 30 plus publications and has made numerous presentations.  His research interests are--philosophy and practice of leadership in higher education, particularly learning outcomes assessment, strategic planning, institutional effectiveness, non-cognitive assessment, libraries, use of technology in education, and particularly the development of data-driven processes to inform decisions as well as statistical causality and inter-rater agreement.
