Osher Lifelong Learning Institute

Furman’s campus is once again open to the public for outdoor enjoyment!  OLLI members are welcome to walk around the lake, ride bikes on campus, etc.

There are a few things to remember as you come onto campus:

  • Masks are required in all academic buildings regardless of vaccination status. Please remember this if you visit the bookstore or the Herring Center
  • No buildings on campus are open to the public except for the Barnes and Noble Bookstore in the lower level of the Trone Student Center.
  • The Herring Center is open to OLLI members.

Welcome to Fall Term 2021!

Come on back to OLLI@Furman!  We are so excited to welcome our members back to campus and the Herring Center to try a new class, whether it’s history or poker or photography.  You may register online beginning Tuesday, August 17 at 8 a.m. for course package holders and August 19 at 8 a.m. for single course purchasers. You may also complete the registration form in the brochure and mail it to our office or come on by the Herring Center and see the staff while dropping off your registration form.  It is going to be a wonderful year and we are thrilled that we are going to be able to have in-person classes this fall, while continuing to serve our members with Zoom class technology for those who found they enjoyed this new option. The past year confirmed what we have always known. OLLI is more than a place to take courses. It’s a community. If you are a long-time member of this community, welcome back. If you are new to us, welcome. Either way, we are glad you’re here! Invite a friend and join us!
