Website redesign update and access

August 1, 2022

Dear Campus web editors,
As you may have read in today’s campus note, we are reaching the finish line with the launch of the redesigned website on Wednesday. We thank you for your patience during the last few months.
Unlike our last redesign, which was a complete overhaul of our hosting platform, content management system and the design, this redesign focused primarily on the look and functionality of the site. We will continue to use the WordPress content management system.
As an editor, your access to the site and the WordPress tools you use to edit your site’s content will remain the same, however the site’s content modules have been revised. In most cases these changes will be small. However, several new modules have been added and the handful of modules that were underutilized have been removed from the editing tool.
As noted in our campus communication, this massive project will begin deployment on Wednesday, followed by a certification process throughout the following week. During this time, the site will be fully functional, but you may encounter some design anomalies as you move through the site.
In order to facilitate a smooth transition for editors into the redesigned site, a Zoom-based training session will be held on Tuesday, August 9, to showcase the site changes and answer any questions you may have in preparation for site-editing access to be restored on Wednesday, August 10. While we will record and post this training session, site editors are encouraged to attend. A separate email will follow with Zoom meeting information.
If you have questions, please visit our website redesign FAQs page.
Thank you.
