Wireless Network

All Buildings Have Wireless

Furman University offers a wireless network that uses authentication and encryption. All buildings on campus have wireless networking. Access to the wireless network is restricted to those with a Furman network account.

  • MyResNet – wireless network for the residence halls and North Village
  • FU-Students – wireless academic network for students
  • FU-FacStaff – wireless network for faculty and staff
  • FU-Events and FU-Guests – wireless network for visitors and guests

Guest & Visitor Device Configuration

The FU-Guests and FU-Events wireless networks are for short-term use by camps, conferences, and sponsored guests. Theses networks are limited to Internet access, and campus services are not available from these networks. FU-Events and FU-Guests are not for students, faculty, or staff.

Visitors attending a conference or camp should contact their sponsor for an ID and password to use the FU-Events wireless network.

Furman employees wanting to sponsor a guest on the FU-Events wireless network should contact the IT Service Center.
