Furman University’s Brent Nelsen spoke to FOX Carolina about the war the Israel that ignited over the weekend. Nelsen, the Jane Fishburne Hipp Professor of Politics and International Affairs, said the attack on Israel by Hamas was unusual due to its coordinated air, ground and sea tactics and the degree of infiltration Hamas was able to achieve. Israeli defenses ”were caught blind,” he said, and he warned of troubling repercussions should the war spill over to other countries. Nelsen also commented on how the lack of a speaker in the U.S. House of Representatives plays into an already chaotic situation.
