Furman University has earned recognition in Research.com’s 2027 rankings of degree programs, receiving honors for business, psychology and education. Furman was recognized among the Best Business Degree Programs in Greenville, Best Psychology Degree Programs in South Carolina and Greenville, and the Best Education Degree Programs in South Carolina.

Research.com is an academic research portal that publishes rankings of universities and degree programs across a range of disciplines. Its rankings consider factors such as academic quality and research impact, among other measures.

At Furman, the recognized programs are supported by faculty who engage students in research, mentorship and applied learning opportunities. Those experiences extend beyond the classroom through resources such as The Hill Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, where business students can explore entrepreneurship and develop ideas, and The Institute for the Advancement of Community Health, where students and faculty connect research with community health needs.

The institutes are part of Furman’s broader approach to engaged learning. The university’s four institutes bring together students, faculty and community partners around research, innovation and collaboration, creating opportunities for students to apply their academic work to questions and challenges beyond campus.
