Mary Wallace and Athena are brave, and 17, and fencers, and training for the Junior Olympics. As they perry and reposte, feint and lunge, they’re practicing for an event that would pit them against one another. They practice together, they compete against each other, they spend their lives together. They’re ambitious. They’re confident. They wish they were friends.
