Kimberly Witherspoon, a public finance attorney at Haynesworth Sinkler Boyd and a 2006 Furman University graduate, has been named among GSA Business Report’s 2021 Women of Influence. The political science and history alumna joins 25 Upstate leaders who hold professional influence while also making a difference in their communities. The honorees will be recognized during a luncheon Dec. 9 at the Commerce Club, and individual profiles will appear in a special print section of GSA Business Report.

Witherspoon was also recently named to The Bond Buyer’s 2021 Rising Stars list, which honors municipal finance professionals under the age of 40 whose leadership, collaborative spirit, innovation and creativity have enabled them to make a positive contribution to their community.

A former member of the Furman University Alumni Board, Witherspoon holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
