Furman University theatre arts alumnus Chris White ’92 and his wife Emily Reach White have written and directed a new feature film, “Electric Jesus,” which will make its way to theaters near you this year.

If the main title didn’t tip you off, the subtitle tells it all – “The 80s Hair Band You’ve Been Saving Yourself For.” Inspiration for the film comes from White’s upbringing that included Christian rock and going to Bible-camp in Columbia, South Carolina. John Jeter of Greenville Journal covers the film starring Judd Nelson (“The Breakfast Club”), Brian Baumgartner (“The Office”) and Claire Bronson.
