Kelly Rae ’16 honored with Fulbright ETA Award
Kelly Rae ’16 was recently selected as the winner of an Outstanding Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) Performance Award for her exemplary work both in and out of the classroom.
Rae, who is serving as an ETA in a third grade classroom in Kinmen, Taiwan, was chosen for the honor based on classroom observations, biweekly reports and involvement in teaching workshops and community service.
Rae, who graduated magna cum laude as an elementary education major, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Rae of Greenville. She was one of four 2016 Furman University graduates to receive Fulbright U.S. Student Program grants from the U.S. Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.
