“Red Team vs. Blue Team” in American Politics

With only three weeks remaining until the presidential election, the political rhetoric is getting more heated every day.  Furman political science professor David Fleming will discuss how political polarization is affecting the race for President and how America got to this point when he speaks at the High Noon lecture series Wednesday, Oct. 19 at the Upcountry History Museum-Furman.

His talk, “Red Team vs. Blue Team: Political Polarization in the United States,” begins at noon.  It is free and open to the public.

Dr. Fleming, who joined the Furman faculty in 2009, teaches courses in American politics, political analysis and public policy. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and received his M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The Upcountry History Museum/Furman is located at 540 Buncombe Street in downtown Greenville’s Heritage Green area.
