Basebald for the Cure: Furman baseball team loses its hair for a good cause

The Furman baseball team may have dropped an 8-5 decision to nationally sixth-ranked South Carolina earlier this week, but the Paladins hit a grand slam against childhood cancer by raising nearly $9,000 through participation in “BaseBald For The Cure.”
Approximately 24 Paladin players, plus the entire coaching staff, gathered on top of the Furman dugout following the game and had their heads shaved by barbers from Headlines Haircuts—all in an effort to benefit The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a volunteer driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.
