Rising stars at Furman

Musicians Emilio Alverson and Madison Allen, who will join Furman’s freshman class in the fall, have successfully auditioned for the International Picolo Spoleto Rising Stars competition. Allen plans to double major in Music Performance and Psychology, while Alverson will major in Violin Performance and Business.  Both are graduates of Spartanburg High School and the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities.  Read more in the Spartanburg Herald-Journal.
